Anne McInnis is an award-winning visual artist, designer, and social scientist. She received her Ph.D. in textile sciences in 2023 and was a Lamar Dodd School of Art Interdisciplinary Fellow from 2021–2023, at the University of Georgia, in Athens, GA.

As a visual artist, McInnis uses materials as metaphors to explore perception, communication, and alterity, creating multi-sensory environments that tell stories of social and personal identities.

As a design and product development specialist in textiles, fashion, and the built environment, McInnis develops and creates products and textiles for global apparel and soft furnishings brands, as well as international textile mills.

As a social scientist, her qualitative research explores age, the renaissance of experience, and creative collaboration between multiple generations.
